Students have long been in the campaign for passing coursework on time. Yet, sometimes, they do it with little regard for quality. And if they do have such regard, they content themselves to taking a shot at the average. What is wrong in this picture? The institutions’ average mark had simply become the students’ aimed top mark. Evidently, it’s the standards to which students ascribe themselves. What’s more disturbing is the increasing gap between higher education institutions’ and students’ standards. Even the presumably easy academic essay had been subjected to the said lowering standards. Students content themselves with average and that’s simply not right. 

 Essentially, they got in their respective educational institutions because based from their credentials and personal statements, they are qualified. This qualification meant that students can optimally fit their own standards, to that of the institutions.’ Now, this sounds like a cheat – a breach to the institutions’ admissions procedures, and to the students themselves.
